WHO We Are

To Be and Make Authentic Followers of Jesus Christ by Living Transformational, Relational, and Missional Lives.

  • We Celebrate TransformationWe are glad the tomb is empty and that we have victory in Christ! Yesterday we were dead in our trespasses and sins. Today, we are more alive in Christ, and we celebrate accordingly by freely engaging in the victorious life-long process of growth and sanctification His grace provides.(Colossians 1:28-29)
  • Relationally Connected- We know meaningful relationships can be hard to find, so we are intentional about making church rows become family circles. Our goal is to make life-changing relationships relevant and accessible to every person because it is in community that we find gospel freedom and the courage to take the next steps.  (Acts 2:42)
  • Missionally Compelled- Because Heaven and Hell are real, the church must not exist for itself! We have been rescued and redeemed by a loving missionary Savior who has given us a clear and compelling mission to go and make disciples by taking the hope of Jesus to our homes, neighborhoods, and the nations. (Matthew 9:9-13)

What We Value

We truly believe and are dedicated to the following core values:

  • Gospel Saturated We believe the gospel must be central in everything. We should constantly reflect on it and base our lives and ministries around it. We believe that the hope of Shiremanstown and the nations is the gospel, and we desire to be a blessing to the city and to the nations by our actions and our words. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
  • Anchored in Prayer Prayer is the way in which we talk to God. It is honest, authentic communication with the God of the universe. Our prayer life is an indicator of our dependence on God. It is also a reflection of the intimate relationship between the Creator and His created people. (1 John 5:14-15)
  • Wholehearted in Worship We value gathering together for God-centered, Bible-based, gospel-declaring, church-building worship. (Colossians 3:16-17) CLICK HERE to find out more about our worship style and philosophy.
  • Biblically Based We believe Scripture should be the foundation for our lives as believers. This plays out through Bible-based teaching during our services; however, it is also important that, as believers, we study the Word individually and apply it to our lives daily. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
  • Courageously Generous All we have was given to us by God and should be used to honor and give back to Him. We must look for ways to strategically give our money and possessions away. (Matthew 13:44)
  • Ministry Focused When we serve, we allow God to work through us and impact others as well as change ourselves. We look to Jesus as our example of serving, as He served us by freely giving His life (Ephesians 2:8-10)
